Cannabiziac™ University: Clean Energy Coalition Project

The American-Made Community Clean Energy Coalition Prize is a new $1.5 million funding opportunity from the Department of Energy. This prize will support new and existing coalitions—made up of nonprofits, city governments, school systems, and other community organizations—to come together to develop strategies to address a local clean energy opportunity or environmental inequity. As part of the Justice40 Initiative, this prize will direct federal investment and its benefits to disadvantaged communities. Community coalitions with strategies to reduce energy burdens and environmental exposure or increase access to clean energy are encouraged to apply by December 7. Ten winning teams will receive a $30,000 cash prize and the opportunity to compete for an additional $165,000 each!
