ABOUT OUR GUEST: After twenty-five years of experience in the food and beverage industry of bringing brands to scale, Merril has leveraged her visionary thinking and ability to find the most forward-thinking people to create TraceTrust, where she addresses some of the largest issues in cannabis: compliance, safety, and efficacy.
Merril’s experience touches on virtually every aspect of business, from product development, ingredient sourcing, production, label compliance, and risk management. She joined the cannabis industry in 2013 when the California medical market began destigmatizing cannabis use, and quickly saw the lack of direction in creating safe, efficacious edibles. Foreseeing adult-use legalization, she created TraceTrust, to validate transparency and authenticity above regulatory requirements in cannabis and hemp-derived products.
“We Make Edibles Credible™” by establishing the first universal independent certification programs for dose accuracy and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) for legal cannabis and hemp-derived products, A True Dose™, and hGMP™.

Book of the Month Event, Wednesday, July 28th - 6 P.M. EST

    • Featuring Chef Jazz (Jazmine Moore), Author of Green Panther Chef

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Chef Jazz (Jazmine Moore) grew up knowing that foods have their own medicinal properties and that eating well was the foundation of health. In 2006, she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, in her last year of Culinary College. She felt awful, was losing weight, felt a lot of anxiety, and had trouble sleeping. Chef Jazz returned to her homeopathic roots and started experimenting with cannabis and CBD in the form of consuming and inhaling. Within a year she had stopped taking her prescription medication, had gained back the weight she lost, and was in full remission by 2008. Wanting to share her unique knowledge with others, she started offering friends and family an “edible experience” designed to provide an elevated dining experience. After the passing of Initiative 71 (voter-approved ballot legalizing the use of cannabis), it wasn’t long before she was offering this service to serve a wider demographic which gave life to Green Panther Chef. Since then, Green Panther Chef has expanded its portfolio to include: Culinary CBD products, Wellness Consulting, and Educational Cooking Classes.

  • Book of the Month Events takes place on the last Wednesday of every month.
